Gary Davison celebrated his 100
th
parkrun today with the traditional spread of cakes! Well done Gary – even running with a balloon he ran his fastest time this year – brilliant stuff!
We were back on the 2 lap course this week. Thanks so much to the team for organising the 3 lap course to ensure we didn’t miss any more of our beloved parkruns. Now this is in place we should be able to adopt it whenever conditions require. Excellent!
Mark Symes led us home, closely followed by James Wallace and then Rob Harkness. First lady to finish was Melanie Brookes, followed by Freya Davis and Ruth Briggs.
With the ground being a little firmer underfoot there were some
brilliant PBs this week. Chris Peddle took a further ½ minute from his PB set only last week on his 50
th
parkrun
. Alfie Boese also managed to improve by a further 30 seconds on last week’s PB! Philip Carr, Phil Garty, Nick Carter, Russel Smith, Susan Travis, Adam Bloxsome, Christine Goble, Katherin Sargent, Lareen Morris and Angie Wright all also beat their PBs by this impressive margin – well done to all!
David Peddle was also ½ minute faster than his PB set back in April last year, 33 runs ago.
Craig Stewart has also persevered, breaking his PB from September 2012, after 30 parkruns, Mary Raleigh broke hers from February 2012, and Martin Judge broke his PB from way back in October 2011!
